Our standard practice is to let the managers of our portfolio companies manage inquires such as this, as they are responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the business and are much closer to the facts at hand. After reading a nine page, explicitly detailed fax, the ONLY "evaluation" was, "Our standard practice is..." Why not tell me that UP FRONT? Why come across initially as if there is something you can/will do before the fax arrives? What does Rutledge Capital do when a portfolio company "manages" itself into someone contacting Rutledge about the company's "inability to manage?" I Emailed Robert Tucker to find out.
